HIPHOP EXCHANGE EUROPE

HIPHOP EXCHANGE EUROPE

Together with several partners, Nürnberg Pop is presenting a new European project for the first time this year—a project that has been developed with great dedication and passion and is now finally seeing the light of day: HIPHOP EXCHANGE EUROPE.

Artists from several European countries come together and network during a multi-day camp featuring studio sessions, panel discussions, jam sessions, and showcases with both DJs and live musicians, as well as an after-show party.

HIPHOP EXCHANGE EUROPE aims to bring together artists from different European countries who perform in various languages and to create an open space free of barriers, where art takes center stage and is supported through a wide range of opportunities. Modern pop, jazz and hip-hop culture is diverse and cross-cultural, and the project aims to showcase this as best practice while simultaneously promoting and challenging it. The collaborative work and networking within the framework of HIPHOP EXCHANGE EUROPE is intended to serve as a prime intercultural example of modern, young Europe.

HIPHOP EXCHANGE EUROPE is here to stay, and we are pleased to provide a brief overview of the artists and the project’s schedule for the day of the projekt presentation:

+ FERGE X FISHERMAN. Unbound by convention, the songs by this Nuremberg hip-hop band are in a league of their own. At HIPHOP EXCHANGE EUROPE, however, producer Ferge and rapper Fritz Fisherman aren’t on stage; instead, they’ve developed the project in collaboration with Nürnberg Pop.

+ PITCH SCOTLAND. Scotland’s conference on hip-hop and underground culture (this years date: September 2-4) was not only a major source of inspiration for HIPHOP EXCHANGE EUROPE, but has also become an indispensable project partner, bringing in acts from the burgeoning Scottish hip-hop scene, among others.

+ OFFICE OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS NUREMBERG. The city partnership between Glasgow and Nuremberg, which is also reflected in HIPHOP EXCHANGE EUROPE, is supported, promoted, and presented by the Office of International Relations. Thank you very much!

+ PROWEEKENDFEST – a wonderful small showcase festival in Castellon, Spain, curated by good friends.

+ FMX (Faroese Music Export). One of our long-standing partners in the field of cultural exchange and artist development.
