The Black Elephant Band is solo performer, songwriter and author Jan Bratenstein from Nuremberg. Stylistically comparable to Andrew Jackson Jihad, Jonathan Richman or Kimya Dawson, his anti-folk music takes a likeable approach to genre clichés, folk stereotypes and singer/songwriter seriousness.
