SUNDAY MORNING ORCHESTRA
Non-intellectual garage jazz. Between cheerful and cloudy, a charming two-piece orchestra is created with double bass and voice - inspired by old warhorses and (in)famous greats. Avoiding genre pigeonholing, the orchestra uses just two ingredients to serve up various courses of pop noir, garage jazz and a few blue notes. A voice dances gently around the woody depths of the double bass, sometimes accompanied by reduced guitar harmonies. Sometimes light and airy, sometimes oppressively warm, sometimes experimental, always lo-fi. It swings and swings lively, to the point of ecstatic finger snapping and toe wiggling.
