Maria Lui is a Ukrainian artist, singer, songwriter, and producer based in Kyiv.
Blending expressive vocals, modern jazz harmony, alternative songwriting, and subtle electronic textures, Maria creates
immersive live performances built around improvisation and emotional intensity. Performing primarily in English, her project is
aimed at the international live and showcase circuit.
Since emerging on Kyiv's independent music scene, she has performed at leading venues, including Closer in collaboration with
the FUSION community.
In 2025, Maria received the Jäger Music Awards – Jury's Choice and was nominated for Best New Alternative/Indie Artist at the
MEGOGO Music Awards. She also won the International Grassreuts Competition, which led to her performance at NOS Alive 2026
in Lisbon.
Maria is dedicated to developing Ukraine's contemporary cross-genre music scene and creating meaningful connections between the Ukrainian independent scene and the European live music community.
Her debut EP is set for release soon.
