Introducing: LNA (pronounced ELENA), artist and producer from Nuremberg. What started out as an indie folk project under her actual name “Elena Steri” in 2019, quickly evolved into an electro-pop project with hints of indie-music and potential to make it onto the big stages. Playing showcases such as Reeperbahn-Festival and Waves Vienna and supporting acts like Anaïs or Jesper Munk leave no room to doubt the 24-year-old’s talent for pop music with a twist.
A treasure chest of samples, synths, vocal effects including even autotune – with her playfully soft voice this young woman creates a sound aesthetic that radiates warmth, pride and yet gives a cinematic and mystic vibe. Joined by a band of multiinstrumentalists, her sound is completed with pulsating bass arrangements, spheric guitars and refreshing rhythms that might even tempt you to dance.
Her music is what takes you home after a long night out and at times, sounds like the heartfelt hug one might long for. Songs by LNA are giving approachable and yet main character energy – probably because she at least co-produced every single track on her debut album.
„You stole my fire, I want it back”
The musical variety found on her debut album “soft trigger” stands out. Speaking of experiences made by non-male persons within society, she wrestles with topics like empowerment, the despair when boundaries are being crossed, the anger that follows and the silent wish for change.
LNA does not fend for genres, but for recognition value – and we’re certain we’ll have the pleasure of recognizing this forcefully tender voice on many occasions to come. Furthermore she’s already worked with upcoming artists like Novaa & Blackout Problems.
