ELINBORG

Elinborg is a Faroese artist from Syðrugøta, born in 1996 and deeply inspired by the dramatic landscapes of the Faroe Islands. The stark contrast between the islands’ dark winters and bright summers shapes her atmospheric “dark electronic pop” sound. She released her debut EPs Spor (2015) and Landið sum ongin sær (2017), and in 2016 received the Faroese Music Award for Best Live Artist. Her 2018 single Brimið, featured in the Netflix series Ragnarok, introduced her music to an international audience. In 2022 she released her third EP, Vera, exploring themes of nature, existence, and human emotion. Her debut album Í Ævir followed, a deeply personal project reflecting her identity, upbringing, and profound connection to the Faroe Islands. In 2026, Elinborg was awarded Composer of the Year at the Faroese Music Awards, recognizing her distinctive songwriting and artistic voice.
