With his new project, “Songs I Wrote Instead of Jumping Out the Window,” („Lieder, die ich geschrieben habe anstatt aus dem Fenster zu springen“) beslik—formerly known as Meister—presents his most personal and, at the same time, most extensive work to date. This twelve-song debut album brings together his many years of rhapsodic creativity and distills the complexity of his artistic expression into a cohesive whole.

Despite the somber title, the project exudes a peculiar lightness. beslik combines mystical, jazz-infused soundscapes with profound lyrics, creating an atmosphere that is both introspective and accessible. The whole is carried by an intuitive naturalness that has shaped his artistic work for years and allows his music to oscillate organically between melancholy and clarity.
