ÄTNA’s music thrives on contrasts. In the duo’s melancholic electro-pop, the minimalist beats of drummer Demian meet the intensity of singer Inéz. A few years ago, the two met at a 90’s party at the Dresden University of Music and talked about common heroes: Enya, Thom Yorke and Prodigy. They then formed a band, which after a short time shrank to its essence.
ÄTNA are a creative duo at eye level. They combine fashion and design with their music, wear monochrome stage costumes and deliver visually stunning videos. “Building your own world” is what they call it laconically. ÄTNA also proves this in collaborations with artists such as Solomun or Martin Kohlstedt, who always bear their own personal signature. So it will be interesting to see what ÄTNA will surprise us with next!
