ALBERT OF EKENSTAM

Singer Songwriter

Post Punk

Jazz

Albert af Ekenstam is an artist who truly comes into his own on stage. With a unique blend of post-rock atmospheres and singer-songwriter intimacy, he creates a powerful and emotional musical experience. His live performances have been compared to everything from the dreamy and vulnerable sound of Bon Iver to the grand, instrumental dynamics of Mogwai.
Albert af Ekenstam has a long background as a guitarist, having played in various bands over the years, navigating the borders between jazz, avant-garde, and post-rock. However, it is now Albert af Ekenstam’s voice that takes center stage—simple yet deeply moving and powerful.

His voice seamlessly shifts between depth and weight, reminiscent of Bill Callahan or a fragile intensity akin to Phosphorescent, giving each song a sense of intimacy and timelessness. The soundscape moves between subdued, understated sincerity and grand, cathedral-like sonic landscapes where guitars explode with emotional force.

With his live band, Albert delivers an atmospheric concert where rawness and beauty meet in perfect harmony. The audience gets to experience an artist who captivates from the first to the last note through his honesty and musicianship.
Albert af Ekenstam is back with his new album Ghost In Us, set for release on March 14, 2025. The album is his first in over eight years and marks a new phase in his career. Throughout the winter of 2024/25, Albert has released several singles leading up to the album launch.
