Founded during the lockdown winter of 2021, Agatha is Dead! began as a post-punk experiment between longtime friends Lilly and Noah, who had been making music together since their school days. Influenced by Joy Division, The Cure, Molchat Doma, and Fontaines D.C., their sound is characterized by urgency and atmosphere. With the addition of drummer Joey Ramone Hansen—with grunge and pop-punk energy—and Arthur on bass, they played their first shows in 2022 and quickly conquered Berlin's underground scene.
